Welcome to Butler Family Farms

Butler Family Farms grows farm fresh vegetables, cattle, and hay suitable for both horses and cows on their family farm located in Central Rankin County, MS. They began their vegetable production under the name of Butler’s Fresh Pick in 2009 and have watched the enterprise grow in size and popularity every growing season since their first harvest. Butler’s Fresh Pick grows a variety of summer crops as well as cole crops in the fall.  Vegetables ripe for the picking can be purchased at the Farm Stand or “u-pick” fresh from the field.

The Butlers have raised commercial Brangus cattle for over thirty years and began producing hay for the public after dropping traditional row crops in the early 90′s.  The cattle herd at Butler Family Farms is carefully managed by Mark Butler. He introduced Brangus genetics into his previous Angus cattle operation in 1980 and has been raising highly desirable animals since that time.

Spring brings the beginning of a bountiful hay harvest that will continue through the summer and into late fall.  The Butlers grow a well-fertilized hybrid Bermuda grass for horse consumption and a mixed grass and legume hay for cattle.  Hay is sold at the farm year-round.

Come out and see what Butler Family Farms has to offer.  Mark and Jamie Butler would love the opportunity to have you enjoy the fruits of their labor.
